My invitation to teach in Scotland at Knit Camp next year hasn’t really sunk in yet. That someone wants to fly me to Scotland to teach is just unreal. I’ve been wanting to visit the United Kingdom since I was a little girl. I am beyond ecstatic. I need to be bopped on the head so that reality will sink in and I’ll get to work on my designs for the classes. This bio page, detailing the classes I’ll be teaching has been a good bop. Time to get focused.
The dates of Knit Camp have changed since the original announcement. The camp will be August 9-13, 2010 at the University of Stirling, Scotland. You can get all the details about the camp here.
That’s Stirling Castle, just one of the many experiences I’m looking forward to. Friday night there will be Ceilidh and a traditional Scottish dinner of haggis, neeps and tatties. After looking up all of that, I learned that I’m completely on board for the Ceilidh dancing, but as someone who isn’t adventurous with food I’m not so sure about haggis. On the other hand, the meal does have a really fantastic name so I think I’m going to have to go for it. I’ve also decided that haggis, neeps and tatties makes for a really good exclamation to explain my excitement. Try it out…
“Well haggis, neeps and tatties, I’m going to Scotland!!”

This looks like a dream come true! Congrats, and you know, if you need someone to come along and help you schlep your luggage, yarn, etc..
I'd be MORE than happy!
Ok, so I was the first of my friends to like this one! I know you will need help, and my family would love to help you. You’ll need an entourage, and I have two strong sons, two doting daughters who would love to go to the land of half their heritage with you! ;^) Oh, and they all four spin, knit, weave, etc. So when will we be leaving?;^)
