What’s in your bag?

Have you seen this group on flickr called “whats in your bag“? People add their photos showing what they carry around with them. There’s some odd stuff, but then again some might think knitting is an odd item to be carrying around. As a handbag designer, I have become very accustomed to people looking inside my bag. So, why not show you too? Currently I’m using Bella in Pearl as my daily purse. Here’s what’s inside my bag.

whats in my bella

What’s Inside: Work in progress (chunky beanie), sketchbook, calculator, pencil, pen, tape measure, needle gauge, scissors, tin with safety pins and stitch markers, glasses, phone, lip glosses, business cards, giant sunglasses and wallet. Oh, I forgot to add my keys too!

And to prove that it does all fit in Bella.

My giant case for my sunglasses is under the knitting. You can see a spot of it.

I've never heard of that Flickr group before but I love the idea of it. I just took a similar picture the other day because I finally found a bag that can carry all the stuff I love to carry around!

    I guess you don't need a pattern…
I usually print off the pattern on 8 1/2 x 11" paper, put in plastic sheet protectors. Then the one that I need at the time gets rolled up and bent up as I have to stuff it into my bag. Do you have a solution?

I like to photo copy the pattern so that I can make notes on it. I usually fold it in half and slide it into the center dividing pocket. If your pattern still gets crunched, you could slide it into a half-sized manila envelope.
