What happens when it’s an unseasonable 70 degrees and you’re office is less than half a mile from the beach?

The answer is certainly not work. This week I’ve taken advantage of the amazing weather we’re having in Santa Cruz and have enjoyed some beautiful bike rides along West Cliff Drive. It’s one of my most favorite activities. Everything slows, inane problems and stresses disappear and life becomes beautiful.
I hadn’t designed any new knitwear since Cadence, but Monday morning I woke up and knew it was time for the hiatus to end. Here’s a glimpse at what I’m working on. It’s moving along quickly. The construction is something I’ve never done before. It’s worked around the body, from shoulder to shoulder using short rows. Don’t actually know if it’s going to work out, but so far it’s looking great.
