Jordana Paige will be donating 10% of the suggested retail price of The Knitter’s Satchel in Pink to the fight against breast cancer. Just look for the pink hangtag to know the bag you’re buying is a qualifying bag.
According to the National Cancer Institute 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. But early detection does save lives. Graphite Satchel is going, going….gone
Tuesday, December 9th, 2008
The Knitter’s Satchel in Graphite has been discontinued. We literally only have a few left. So, if you love this color, but have been waiting to purchase for whatever reason, now would be the time to grab it. Or, you could chance it and hope we one day find a hidden box of graphite satchels tucked in the back of our warehouse.
A Little Patience
Tuesday, August 26th, 2008This past weekend I had a wonderful email correspondence with Mary, a knitter I met at last year’s Stitches Midwest. Mary is a woman of patience. I thought you might enjoy reading how she finally got her Knitter’s Satchel.
Jordana, I traveled 1 ½ hours to get to the Stitches Market today hoping to see you there as I did last year. I wanted to buy one of your satchels and have you autograph it inside for me. You weren’t there! I was so disappointed. If I order a bag through your website, will you be able to do that for me? Please let me know – Mary, Cudahy, WI

Hi Mary,
I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be there. I switch off between the Midwest and East show each year. This year I’ll be doing the East show. I can certainly sign a bag for. When you checkout just write a note in the “gift card message” that reminds me. Hope it was a great show.
Sincerely,
Jordana

It was “just okay” without you there! I will submit my order tomorrow. Too tired from shopping today
Jordana – I have to tell you why I was coming to buy your satchel today. After seeing you last year and instantly falling for your satchel, I have had your postcard of the bag on my refrigerator where my husband was sure to see it. It has been there for a year! So today before I was leaving I asked him if I had permission to buy one and he finally agreed. He said “If
I say yes, can I take that picture off the refrigerator?” Talk about subliminal messages! It worked!! Mary

Hi Mary,
What patience!! So glad it worked out for you. Your letter really made me smile. Do you mind if I share it on my blog?
Your satchel shipped yesterday. It is scheduled to arrive on the 29th.
Sincerely,
Jordana

Of course you can put it on your blog. I just don’t understand why he thought the satchel is a luxury and not a necessity! Men just don’t understand!! Can’t wait for delivery!
Thanks – Mary
PS: Did you remember to autograph it?
Finally, a size comparison!
Friday, July 18th, 2008
How big is that bag? I get asked this question a lot. It’s so hard to figure out size when shopping online.
I’ve added a comparison picture of each bag on all the product pages. Hopefully this will help you decide which bag is right for your needs.
Pin ItPink satchels arrive tomorrow
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008Status update: Just spoke with the trucking company that will be delivering the pink satchels. Delivery to my warehouse is scheduled for tomorrow at noon!
I will be boxing up satchels like mad and working the tape gun overtime to make sure everyone who pre-ordered receives their satchel by Thursday of next week at the very latest.
I’m on a designing roll
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008I announced the winner of the contest in an email to everyone who entered. But, I keep getting emails asking who the winner was, so I’ll announce it here too. Congrats to Miriam Huff!
The first pattern I will be self-publishing is currently being test knitted. Progress is moving right along. It’s so wonderful to drop some yarn in the mail and three weeks later receive it back as a finished garment. I’ll receive this one back in a week and a half. Then the pattern will be sent off to the tech editor.
My second pattern is also on schedule. I’ve finished knitting it, except for the second sleeve. I ran out of yarn and will have to get more this weekend. Today I’ll be shipping yarn off to a test knitter and grading (writing multiple sizes) the pattern. I’m not particularly fond of grading, but it must be done.
The third pattern hasn’t entered my head yet. I’m still waiting to be bit with inspiration. I’m on such a roll that I just want to get started on it. My hands are itching to knit.
Spring time and girly knitting bags!
Friday, May 23rd, 2008It’s Pink!!
Perfectly girly. Doesn’t it make want to dance around barefoot and carefree like a little girl yelling, “Summer is here!”
Take a look inside. The lining is green, the same as the lining in Bella. Too sweet, now I want a cupcake.
The Knitter’s Satchel in Pink will be available in just a couple weeks. If you like to be the first gal with the new stuff at Stitch ‘n’ Bitch, then I recommend pre-ordering yours and we’ll zip it off to you as soon as it’s available.
The winner of our contest has been notified by email. If you guessed pink, check your inbox to see if your name was drawn.

I’m sewing a dress for the first time since high school
Thursday, May 15th, 2008Next Wednesday I’ve scheduled a photo shoot for the new color satchel that will be released later this month. I’ve mentioned before how much I love shopping for the clothes to be worn in the photographs. When else does one get to go shopping and call it work? I’ve always wanted to be the costumer for a television show, one with really stylish characters. Can you imagine the budget they get to work with and all the free stuff designers send them?
Anyway, the funny part is I usually spend so much time selecting the right skirt and then only the top half of the model is seen in the photo. Or, I’ll find a super cute top to be worn with jeans and the bag will be photographed on the model from the waist down. For Wednesday’s shoot I have a distinct look that I want achieved. I couldn’t find the right dress to accomplish the look so I’m making it myself.
A couple weeks ago I quickly ran into Hart’s and purchased some fabric, but it just wasn’t right and was really bothering me. Today I went back and found the sweetest pink fabric. Of course I had to complicate the thing by selecting fabric with a scalloped edge for the hem. So, rather than just making it easy on myself, I now have to make sure that when I cut it out the length is exactly perfect.

Being that I haven’t sewn a garment since high school and am a little rusty, this should give me a good challenge. I always do this when making dresses. Every year when I was little my Gran would make my sister and I birthday dresses. I would always manage to select a pattern and then come up with modifications to make it “better” and drive my Gran nuts. Looks like I haven’t lost it, but this time I’ll be the one dealing with it.
You may be thinking, “quit rambling about this dress and tell us about the new satchel color.” My dear friends, you will be very happy with me. Tomorrow I will be announcing details on how you can win a free one. See you tomorrow!
