The Knitter’s Satchel in Cappuccino was discontinued a couple months ago. I no longer have stock, but shops do. If you’re looking for where it can be purchased try Stringtown Fiber Arts and Continental Stitch.
Edited to add Bobbin’s Nest.

The waiting is the hardest partThursday, March 20th, 2008My apologies to all who have ordered The Knitter’s Satchel in Ocean Blue. It is currently on back order. Yes, I agree it is taking FOREVER for them to get here. I was told the order could be rushed, but quality would be risked. So, of course I said, “take all the time you need.” Well, not really infinite time, but the time necessary to get the job done right. Thank you for your patience! And remember, patience is always rewarded!! Bella and the Grape Knitter’s Satchel arrivedThursday, July 19th, 2007Bella and the Grape Knitter’s Satchel arrived Monday of last week. I got to break in the new shipping table, which is my favorite part of the new headquarters. It’s so organized. As you can tell by my designs, I like organized. Anyway, all pre-orders of Bella and back orders of the Grape Knitter’s Satchel shipped by last Friday. So, if you had placed an order for either, you’ll receive it this Friday at the latest. This also means Bella will start popping up in your LYS this week. Check it out the next time you’re there, or ask your LYS to carry our products.

New shipments and new projectsFriday, October 20th, 2006Nine AM tomorrow the new satchels and messenger bags will be here! It’ll be a full truck load, but my parents will be driving up to help me get in all in the warehouse. Everytime a new shipment comes in I stare at all the boxes, which come all the way to the door, and get a bit of a sick feeling. I always think, “that’s a lot of product to sell, I hope I can do it again.” Each time the sickness gets a bit stronger, as the warehouse I need gets larger. But, the confidence gets stronger too. I just have to remind myself of how great it will feel to roll up the door in a couple months and be able to see the back of the warehouse again. All the labels and receipts are ready to go. I hope to get most of the pre-orders shipped tomorrow. At the very latest they’ll be shipped by Monday.
Your votes were cast and tallied: the results are beautifulFriday, September 29th, 2006There the beauties are! What more can I say? Clockwise from top: The Knitter’s Messenger Bag: Deep Red/Cypress Green Tweed, The Knitter’s Satchel in Cypress Green, Deep Red and Graphite. You’ll notice the Graphite looks really silver in some pictures and darker in others. That’s what’s so neat about it–it takes on a different reflection depending on the light. Thank you to everyone who cast their vote for their favorite color. I hope you’re pleased! They’re not in stock yet, but you can pre-order them now and you’ll receive it in the beginning of November. Colors come soon for the satchelMonday, August 28th, 2006Having two sweater submissions due in one month has really thrown me off. I usually submit patterns sporadically as it’s really more of a “side” job right now. I don’t know what I was thinking. I’m so very close to finishing the sweater for BGK2, which is good since it’s due on Friday. I’ve been up until 1:00am every night trying to get it done. Fortunately, we finally got DVR so I have something other than infomercials to watch. The colors for the satchel and messenger bag have been finalized…but you don’t get to know yet! Soon, I promise. Once I get a sample in each color I’ll be able to do a photo shoot. Then I can unveil the colors and start taking pre-orders. I LOVE the colors, but then I always do. The family is already having a hard time deciding which color they want. Yes, Mom, Sister and Gran always get a bag of their choice. Anyone want to be adopted?
Vote for colors for The Knitter’s SatchelWednesday, April 5th, 2006It’s time to start thinking about the product line for this year’s Fall/Winter season. Yesterday I had a meeting to go over new products and new colors for current styles. I love flipping through my Pantone book choosing colors, but it is also a very difficult task. What’s going to be the hot color for the season, but not too trendy that someone will still want to carry the bag when the season passes, and appeals to the masses? Picking wrong could mean a warehouse full of bags! It’s like walking into a department store and seeing a rack of bright yellow blouses marked down 75%. Ouch! As I drove home from the meeting I thought, “Why not use my blog and let the people vote!” This is hardly an accurate study and one my former marketing teacher would probably frown on for not selecting a proper sample…yada, yada, yada. But, it’s fun. So pick a color you would want to carry The Knitter’s Satchel in. Remember that monitors are all different, so just pick the general color family, not necessarily the EXACT color.
New bags are here!Friday, December 30th, 2005They’re here! The Knitter’s Satchel and The Knitter’s Messenger Bag in tweed are now in stock. The delivery came early today, so majority of the pre-orders have been shipped. The remainder will ship tomorrow, which means your new bag will be in your knittin’ hands by January 9th at the very latest. If you would like to check the status of your order for a definite date, please use our tracking system. You’ll need your ship to zip code and order number. The order number can be found on the email confirmation that was sent when your order was placed. It begins with 001. Our bags *look* like leatherWednesday, December 28th, 2005Ah, the joys of customs. Yesterday I spoke too soon saying the new bags would be here today. Although the freight had cleared customs it seems they decided to do yet another inspection. This time it didn’t pass. Why? Because the inspector seems to think the satchels are made from genuine leather. I couldn’t help but smile at this. Yes, the fabric, at 100% poly, is that good. A simple sniff of the fabric would rule it out as leather, but apparently it has to go to their “labs.” No more arrival date predictions until I have all the boxes in my warehouse. |
