Sometimes you just want a simple pattern that you can knit away at without a care in the world. I understand. That was my goal when I designed this project. Here’s the loveliest part–the entire thing is knit! You’re welcome. So you can just put your feet up, turn on that guilty-pleasure TV show you hate to admit you love and fall into the rhythm of knit stitches. The colorwork is all charted, but really once you get the hang of where the pattern is going, you’ll hardly need to glance at the chart.
I think with every (or almost every) project you should learn a new skill. As mindless as I wanted this pattern to be for you, I couldn’t let the opportunity to learn something new slip by. If this is your first stranded project, it’ll give you the opportunity to knit using bobbins. What’s a bobbin?!
Don’t panic. It’s just mini balls of yarn so that you don’t have to carry the strand of yarn all the way across the back. It makes for a prettier wrong side. Each chunk of color gets its own bobbin. I cut the yarn in between charts because I didn’t want to carry the strands. Use your judgement for what you like.
